  • Pass SPM with a credit in English.
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand English fluently.

Program Information

A Private Pilot License (PPL) allows you to fly an aircraft below 5700 kg (12,500 lbs) Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW). All pilots to be will start learning to fly on a single engine where you are allowed to carry passengers, as long as you do not collect a fee from them. However, the cost of aircraft rental can be shared between you and your passengers. In order for you to fly for hire you will then need to obtained a Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

Training for the PPL will take about 50 to 55 hours of flying (including both instructional and solo). The training period varies between students. It all depends on how much time a student can devote his or her time to flight training. Typically, the training will take about 8 months. Additionally, you are required to sit for a theory examination which comprises of ten papers;

License will be issued by the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia once all requirements of training are met.
